History of 2face Idibia
2face who now prefers to be addressed with “2baba” is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, record producer and ENTERPRENUR He also stands to be one of the most awarded and most bankable artists in Africa.
2face was born on the 18th of September, 1975 in Jos, Nigeria although he is from Benue State. He attended Saint Gabriela’s Secondary School in Makurdi, Benue State and then went on to Institute of Management & Technology, Enugu (IMT).
Rise to Prominence
While at IMT he started performing at school events, shows and parties. He was so good that even other neigh boring universities invited him to perform at events they hosted.
He eventually dropped out of school to focus on his budding music career. He moved to Lagos and started collaborating with another artist- Blackface (Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo) whom he had earlier met at IMT. And then soon enough Faze (Chibuzor Oji) joined the group and they formed a music trio- Plantashun Boiz.
As a group they three of them became even more famous, they released two albums- Body and Soul and Sold Out. They group sadly broke up in 2004 but came back to record a third and final album titled Plan B in 2007.
After the band broke up, they all focused on their careers as solo artists. Of the trio 2face has had the most successful solo career so far. He released Grass 2 Grace his first album as a solo artist in 2006.
He is also the founder of Hypertek Digital- a record label which he founded in 2006 after leaving Kennis Music. His hit song African Queen gave him international recognition when it was used as the soundtrack for the movie Phat Girlz. He also released another album The Unstoppable. He also featured a single with R Kelly and Prince Lee titled Hands across the world.
Other albums he has released so far include Away & Beyond, The Ascension, The Unstoppable International Edition.
Tuface also served as a judge on the show The Voice Nigeria alongside other artists like Timi Dakolo, Waje and Patoranking.
2face in the course of his career has bagged many awards and nominations some of which include:

CHILDREN OF 2FACE IDIBIA
While it’s no news the music legend is a father of 7! While he’s married to Annie Idibia.
- Isabel Idibia is Annie’s first daughter, they welcomed Annie long before they got married.
- Nino and Zion are children of Sumbo Ajaba. 9-year-old Nino is the oldest of Tuface’s seven children.
- Justin Agaba Idibia (Right) is Tuface second son from Pero Adeniyi. Rose (Left) is also Tuface’s daughter from Pero.
- Innocent Ejeh Oluwakitan Idibia is Tuface’s last son.
- Olivia is Annie Idibia’s second daughter with Annie Idibia.
2Face Idibia’s Baby Mamas, Children. The African queen crooner has seven children from three different women; Pero Adeniyi, Sunbo Ajaba and Annie Idibia (Nee Macaulay). He eventually married Annie with whom he has two daughters in 2012.
